Our Portfolio

We're pleased to report that the replacement of the Otmoor Range stop butt has now been successfully completed.

Over the past two weeks, the team has removed the existing sand, disposed of the contaminated material, imported and placed new compliant sand, and reprofiled the stop butt to meet current DSA03 requirements. The finished profile can now be seen in the photographs below.

This has been a significant undertaking involving hundreds of tonnes of material movements, careful traffic management through Beckley, and a great deal of hard work from the site team, often in challenging weather conditions. A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in delivering the works safely and efficiently.

With the main construction works now complete, attention turns to the final phase of the project. Over the next couple of days, the team will be carrying out reinstatement and clean-up activities, including topsoiling disturbed areas, removing waste materials, demobilising plant and equipment, and leaving the site in a tidy condition.

We would also like to thank the residents of Beckley for their patience, understanding, and constructive feedback throughout the project. Your cooperation has helped us minimise disruption whilst delivering these essential safety works to the range.

We're now firmly on the home straight and look forward to bringing the project to a successful conclusion over the coming days.

Today, approximately 40 tonnes of sand were successfully removed this morning, with a further 40 tonnes scheduled for removal later this afternoon.

A huge credit goes to the onsite team who are working extremely hard in temperatures reaching 32°C to keep the project progressing safely and efficiently.

Sand movements are expected to continue throughout the week, with broadly similar timings to today’s operations.

Thank you again to residents for your continued patience and cooperation during the works.

We would like to thank residents for their patience today whilst the first project-related HGV movements passed through Beckley.
