Otmoor Range Sand Replacement Introduction

We would like to inform residents of upcoming sand replacement works at the Range. This will involve removing existing aggregates and delivering replacement material over a projected 4 week period. Every effort is being made to inform and minimise the disruption to the local community.
What to Expect
Four week duration starting no later than (18th May 2026)
Temporary, time-limited vehicle movement of lorries along the preferred access route
Traffic Management
To be discussed and agreed with PC:
Woodperry Road is the designated access route for all works traffic.
Lorries will use Roman Way, avoiding New Inn Road and the High Street.
One-way traffic management will operate on Otmoor Lane, with temporary restrictions during HGV movements.
Parking restrictions near the village end of Otmoor Lane will be introduced approximately two weeks before works begin, with additional leaflet drops.

Vehicle Movements
No vehicle movement before 0500 and after 1900
Drivers will be fully briefed on approved routes, bus movements, and expected behaviour.
No unnecessary idling or stopping will be permitted.
Bus timetables will be reviewed, and vehicle movements adjusted if required.
All drivers will be monitored, and any issues will be addressed immediately with contractors.

Ongoing liaison with the Parish Council Temporary signage ahead of the works

Our aim is to deliver these works safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption. Traffic routing, timing, and community safety remain our highest priorities, and we are prepared to adjust arrangements where possible to further reduce impact.
